Returns & Refunds

This page reproduces clauses 6, 8 and 10 of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Clause numbers refer to those full terms. For delivery and inspection on receipt, see Delivery & Shipping.

6. Special Order Items

Many of the Goods we sell are Special Order Items: products we import, order in, or have made specifically for your Order because we do not hold them in stock.

For Special Order Items:

  • Payment in full is required before we place the order with our supplier. We will confirm at the time of quoting or invoicing that an item is a Special Order Item.
  • Special Order Items are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed with our supplier, including for change of mind and incorrect ordering (see clause 5). This does not apply where we cannot supply the item, supply is unreasonably delayed, or the item is faulty (see below).
  • Once your Order is placed we cannot change the specification, so please check all details, including vehicle fitment, before you confirm.
  • Lead times for Special Order Items are estimates only (see clause 7). An ordinary delay in manufacture or supply is not a reason to cancel. If a delay becomes unreasonable, well beyond the estimate we gave you, we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.

If a Special Order Item arrives and it is faulty, or it does not match what you ordered, we will help you resolve it with the manufacturer, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected (clause 10). If we are unable to supply a Special Order Item, for example because it is discontinued or our supplier cannot deliver it, we will contact you in good faith and refund you in full. Nothing in this clause limits those rights.

8. Incorrectly ordered items, returns and restocking

This clause covers returns where you have changed your mind or ordered the wrong item, and items we sent in error. It is separate from your rights where Goods are faulty (clause 10).

We may accept a return of a Stocked Item if all of the following apply:

  • You request a return within 1 month of receiving the Goods.
  • The item is unused, unopened, and in its original, re-saleable condition, including original packaging.
  • You first obtain a Return Authorisation (RMA) from us. Items sent back without an RMA may be returned to you at your cost.

Where we accept such a return, a restocking fee of 20% of the item price or $500, whichever is lower, applies and return freight is at your cost. Original delivery charges are not refunded. For example, a $1,200 item attracts a $240 restocking fee, and a $4,000 item attracts the $500 maximum. If we arrange the return freight for you, it is charged at the actual cost of the return, which may be higher than our standard outbound delivery rate. We will issue an RMA number, and once we receive and check the Goods, we will confirm your refund or credit.

Our errors. If we sent you the wrong item, the Goods arrived damaged in transit (reported under clause 7), or a part we recommended for your vehicle (clause 5) does not fit, you are entitled to a full refund or exchange. No restocking fee applies, and we cover all freight costs, including return freight.

The following cannot be returned for change of mind or incorrect ordering:

  • Special Order Items and any non-stocked item imported or ordered for you (clause 6).
  • Electronic and electronic control units, for example ECUs, tuning modules, and emissions or on-board-computer modules, which are non-returnable once supplied.
  • Items that have been fitted, used, or are not in original re-saleable condition.

We review each request on its merits and may decline a return that does not meet these conditions. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (clause 10).

10. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy that the ACL gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are a consumer under the ACL: for a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have the Goods repaired or replaced within a reasonable time, and if that is not done, to a refund. These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer's warranty.

To the extent the law allows, and except for the guarantees that cannot be excluded, our liability for a breach of a guarantee implied by the ACL in relation to Goods that are not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use is limited, at our option, to replacing the Goods, supplying equivalent Goods, repairing the Goods, or paying the cost of doing so.
