The S63B44T2 4.4 litre V8 produces 575 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque and powers the most powerful AWD platform BMW has ever made. Two large catalyst bricks per exhaust bank create substantial back pressure, increase engine-bay heat, restrict airflow and performance, and limit turbo spool speed.
VelocityAP designed the first hybrid catless downpipe for the F15 and F16. It uses stainless steel throughout for heat resistance and durability, with a smooth taper to minimise turbulence and restriction.
Removing the catalysts dramatically improves the exhaust sound and allows the V8 to breathe.
These downpipes are intended for high-HP builds and can be paired with VelocityAP ECU tuning for maximum results.
