The GiroDisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc, used with a different brake pad to keep the rotor weight at a reasonable level. The necessary pad shape is very common and is also found on the Nissan GT-R, Cadillac CTS-V and most AMG Mercedes equipped with 6 piston calipers.
Key Features
- Curved vane design, developed in racing to pump cooling air through the disc
- Floating mount keeps axial and radial float between hat and disc, so the rotor self centres between the pads
- Anti-noise spring washers allow heat expansion and stop the rattle of floating rotors
- Once the system is in place, only the cast iron rotor needs replacing
