The Eventuri Hybrid Airbox System for the BMW Z4M (E85) combines the race-inspired sound of the CSL airbox with the driveability of a traditional intake and plug-and-play simplicity. Z4M owners wanting the CSL airbox sound previously had to run without the MAF sensor, which often meant ECU conversions or remaps. Because this airbox uses the OEM MAF sensor, no aftermarket tune is needed, and the system comes with the airbox, intake and breather tubes. Unlike the E46 M3 version, the Z4M intake was redesigned for fitment due to the airbox position in the engine bay.
The airbox uses Eventuri's Patented Venturi Carbon Fibre Housing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path and maintains laminar flow conditions. The main airbox is designed to resonate under load to produce the CSL sound, and its shape was optimised over several iterations with CFD simulations so the trumpets have adequate flow.
