The Eventuri Black Carbon Intake for the BMW M6 (F12/F13/F06) uses Eventuri's Patent Pending carbon fibre housing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. It is not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design that invokes the Venturi effect.
The filter housings comprise the high-flow filters, aluminium cowls and the carbon pods, which shroud the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly shape the airflow down to the intake tubes. The smooth reduction in cross-sectional area invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar conditions. For the M6, 2 carbon fibre scoop extensions also connect the scoops to the front grills, giving the incoming airflow a continuous path through the scoops into the stock ducts. The scoops and shields combine to supply the filter openings with ambient air and keep intake air temperatures low.
