⚠ Fitment Notes
Does NOT fit Evo 4/5/6 with the factory hood. The top radiator tank protrusion for the upper hose contacts the hood and doesn't allow for the hood to close properly. Some aftermarket hoods have extra clearance in this area and will work. The clearance with the hood may vary between the Evo 4, 5, and 6. The factory hood can be clearanced by cutting or reshaping the area that makes contact.
The SPAL fan for the Evo 4/5/6 cannot be wired for temperature control using the OE system. You can splice the two blue wires together and connect them directly to the fan for "always on" functionality. If you want a speed control or thermostat controlled system you will need to install an aftermarket fan controller.
The Evo 7/8/9 comes equipped with a fan control module mounted to the factory radiator. Wiring the SPAL fan using this module (using the two wire output) retains the thermostatic control. You will need to fabricate brackets or use zip-ties to relocate the module as there are no provisions for it on the CSF Radiator or Fan Shroud. If you are running an aftermarket intake, the factory air box location makes for an ideal mounting location for the fan control module.
