This lightweight Evolution Line exhaust system is constructed from high-grade titanium and finished with two pairs of titanium and carbon-fibre tailpipes. A specially designed exhaust valve, with its housing cast in the in-house foundry, regulates the sound and is adjusted by in-house developed Control Kit electronics, allowing the driver to select the level of sportiness with AMG Dynamic Select.
Key Features
- Sound ranges from a smooth everyday mode, without discomfort or drone, to a sporty character with deep midrange tones, a rich high-frequency sound at the top of the rev range and crackles on over-run
- A different design, build and configuration from the stock system saves weight and increases power and torque throughout the rev range, with gains of 6.4 kW at 6,400 rpm and 9.1 Nm at 6,700 rpm in back-to-back dyno runs against a stock Mercedes-AMG A 45 exhaust
- The flow path of the exhaust gases provides tuning potential, which the optional Downpipe (SS) can enhance
Specifications
- Material: Titanium
- Homologation: ECE Type Approval
- Weight: 11.17 kg
- Weight saving vs stock: 9.6 kg (46.3%)
- Installation time: 300 min
Note The system is ECE type approved for cars equipped with an Otto/petrol particulate filter. Installing the optional Downpipe (SS) makes the ECE type approval for the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system no longer valid.
Note Both part numbers, S-ME/T/1H and L-ME/SS/3, must be ordered because the system is split into two codes for packaging reasons. The correct mandatory Control Kit must also be ordered, depending on whether the vehicle was produced before or after the facelift in mid 2023.
