Akrapovic Exhaust System for BMW M8 / M8 Competition Gran Coupe (F93)

The Evolution Line (Titanium) is a full titanium exhaust system built from high-grade lightweight titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon-fibre / titanium tailpipes. Akrapovic sound engineers tuned it for a deep, sporty, higher-frequency V8 note from the turbo engine, more akin to a muscle car, while keeping it smooth and eliminating drone. It is a plug-and-play system.

The optional Akrapovic Sound Kit enables owners of selected Akrapovic car exhausts to control the sound of the system from the cockpit of their machine. Using Akrapovic technology, drivers can easily switch between the quiet mode and a sportier sound. With the use of a receiver (already included in evolution system) to drive the actuators that open or close the valves at the end of the exhaust system, drivers can use the Sound Remote Controller to regulate the valves.

With the use of the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit, the ECE type approval is no longer valid.

The Slip-On Line (Titanium) is a full titanium system that meets ECE type approval. It is built from lightweight high-grade titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon-fibre / titanium tailpipes. Complex parts, including the valve housings and collectors from the central muffler to the tailpipes, are crafted at the in-house titanium foundry.

Key Features

• Two valves, one on each side of the muffler, tailor the gas flow for a distinctive sound that differs from the M8 with a stock system, most noticeable when shifting and accelerating
• Power gain of 14.3 hp and torque gain of 19.4 Nm, both at 5,200 rpm, measured on the Akrapovic dyno against a BMW M8 Competition with a stock M Sport exhaust
• Sound can be further controlled with the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit
• Optional Evolution Link pipe set (Titanium) changes the gas flow for the best sound from the system
• Optional handmade carbon-fibre diffuser and mirror caps in matte and glossy finishes
