KW offers different levels of height and damping adjustment for everyday driving, performance road use and the circuit. The range below explains the main differences; availability and included features depend on the vehicle application.
V1–V5: choosing the adjustment you need
DDC: electronic damping
KW DDC Plug & Play connects compatible electronic dampers to the vehicle’s original control system. DDC ECU applications add electronic damping control to supported cars without factory adaptive dampers. Both combine electronic adjustment with a vehicle-specific coilover setup.
HLS: extra clearance when needed
The Hydraulic Lift System raises the vehicle to help negotiate obstacles such as steep driveways. HLS 2 acts on the front axle; HLS 4 acts on both axles. Compatibility, lift height and the required suspension combination depend on the vehicle and kit.
ESC modules: changing from adaptive dampers
Vehicle-specific KW cancellation kits, also called ESC modules, are used when replacing supported factory adaptive dampers with suitable non-electronic suspension. They deactivate the original damper-control function to avoid related error messages; they do not add electronic adjustment to a mechanical damper.
Clubsport and Racing
KW Clubsport systems are developed for track-focused setups, with damping adjustment and top-mount options that vary by application. V3, V4 and V5 Clubsport offer different levels of adjustment. KW Racing is a separate motorsport range; V5 Racing uses Solid Piston technology with independent low-speed and high-speed compression and rebound adjustment.
Top links and racing springs
Clubsport toe-link kits extend the toe-adjustment range on supported applications, helping an installer achieve the intended alignment when using increased camber. KW racing springs provide different rates and dimensions for a matched motorsport setup. These components should be selected as part of the complete suspension specification.
