So when it comes to keeping your engine cool and your Ferrari F430 running at its best, a CSF High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiator is the obvious choice. Designed to perform on the street or at the track, a performance radiator is a must-have for both high horsepower builds as well as race vehicles which need added cooling performance in motorsports environments.

 

This radiator features a 2-Row core with CSF's exclusive B-Tube Technology: Unlike a regular oval-shaped "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in the shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (with better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded. The design (inlet in the middle of the tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tubes by approximately 15% over regular tubes - producing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow". CSF also uses ultra efficient multi louvered fins that are carefully and precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are carefully measured and calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in our wind-tunnel lab.

 

The CSF Ferrari F430 radiator is a true "Drop-in fit" design requiring no modifications to install. OE style brackets are all CNC machined and welded for the best durability possible. Inlet/Outlet connections are designed to match the OE connections so you can reuse OEM hoses or aftermarket. Almost every Ferrari that has rolled out of the factory in Maranello has gone on to become an icon of the automotive world. The F430 is no exception marking the end of an era. The F430 was the last mid engine Ferrari available with a manual transmission and is still regarded as one of the best sports cars ever made.

 

As with most vehicles that were built over 20 years ago, the Ferrari F430 is at the age where a lot of the critical components need to be replaced. While the OEM Radiators are still available, they can be quite expensive, and many owners have been looking for a suitable upgrade for their collectable Italian supercars. CSF has listened to the community and has produced the first reputable OEM+ / High-Performance All-Aluminum Radiators for both the F430 Base, Spider, and Scuderia.

 

Design & Engineering

When initially designing these radiators, there were several key features that CSF knew were important to the Ferrari community: OEM Fit & Finish, Increased performance, and improved reliability.

CSF vs OEM

The original F430 OE radiators from Ferrari feature aluminum cores crimped onto plastic end tanks. While generally accepted as good quality and durable, this design is significantly weaker than the all-aluminum TIG welded design of the CSF Radiators. Anyone who has restored/updated an older car knows the value of having updated parts that are as efficient as possible.

The CSF Advantage

The CSF radiators feature the latest 5mm multi-louvered fins. These fins significantly increase the heat exchange surface area improving overall cooling efficiency and recovery while still maintaining good airflow. The core is much larger than the factory featuring 2-Row 42mm aluminum core. This both increases the fluid capacity of the radiator, and improves the cores ability to dissipate heat. The use of CSF's 5mm fins also allowed for 12 additional cooling tubes and fin rows.

 

 

CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology increases the heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. Combined with the new 5mm fins, heat transfer is increased by up to 25% overall. In addition, the super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow through the core for the best possible performance.

 

The combination of TIG-Welded 100% All Aluminum construction increases the overall strength of the radiator. This improves durability and longevity so you can be confident it will hold up to hard driving conditions. Additionally, the satin black finish gives the radiator a clean OEM look and both radiators are a true Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" application.

 

5mm Core Upgrade

CSF always seeks to offer the ultimate cooling solution. The latest 5mm fin technology was introduced at the end of 2023 offers even more heat transfer area and thermal efficiency than CSF's tried and true 6.5mm fins. Porsche owners are known to push their cars hard and CSF is confident this radiator is ready to take on the most demanding conditions in the world.

 

Plug and Play Installation

CSF designed these Radiators to easily replace the OEM units. The Plug-and-Play "Drop-in Fit" installation should only take 2-3 hours and greatly improves the performance and the longevity of your engine.

 

CSF vs Other Aftermarket Options

There are a couple aftermarket options floating around on the internet. While CSF could not find anyone who has tested these units, CSF likes to offer the comparison facts for customers to save them time and energy. Typical eBay models may seem tempting based on price, however they are usually made in China by an unbranded manufacturer. While there are plenty of good products made in China, they are usually from well known brands. These units generally offer poor warranty support and the construction appears to use a low quality aluminum core with fewer cooling tubes and fin rows than the OEM.

With eBay and unbranded products, you can never be 100% sure of the quality, but with CSF you can. CSF's factories are ISO certified, and are OE suppliers to many US, German and Asian manufacturers. All CSF Radiators are fully manufactured and assembled In-House, Including All Tubes and Fins from Military-Grade (Special Clad) Aluminum (JIS 3003 Spec Minimum).
