Designed and manufactured by Harrop to OEM standards, the TVS2300 Supercharger upgrade is available for the Jaguar Land Rover AJ133 Supercharged V8 engine family, which is factory fitted with an Eaton TVS1900 supercharger system.
The Harrop TVS2300 is a direct replacement for the OEM TVS1900 supercharger system and requires no engine recalibration when using an 80mm supercharger pulley. Smaller supercharger pulleys are available for customers increasing power and torque through custom engine recalibration and ancillary upgrades.
The Harrop TVS2300 also features an upgraded solid coupler, eliminating the factory OEM spring coupler that is prone to fatigue and failure.
For over a decade, VelocityAP has been committed to pushing the performance envelope for Jaguar and Land Rover supercharged vehicles. Much of its R&D and learning has remained unseen, with many dead ends and pivots. However, investments such as VelocityAP's proprietary data-logging system and comprehensive testing program have paid dividends. Its location in Canada's only desert environment has enabled testing and logging of critical parameters in extreme temperatures exceeding 43 degrees C/110 Fahrenheit. Several key ancillary items and areas were identified as requiring upgrades and alterations to produce significant power gains reliably and effectively.
Cooling
On supercharged applications, effective management of intake-air temperatures is critical. VelocityAP found that intake-air temperatures could not be managed effectively without supplemental cooling. Its full carbon-fibre intake system dramatically increases cross-sectional volume and includes provisions for water-methanol injection ports to reduce charged-air temperatures.
The intake is supplemented by a complete water-methanol injection system with the necessary fittings, tank, pump and check valves. This system proved its value during testing by generating repeatable numbers back to back to back.
Supercharger Drive
The OEM tensioner layout leaves considerable room for improvement. Even completely unmodified vehicles can experience belt slippage, premature belt wear and belts contacting the tensioner body. Increasing the supercharger drive rate or size exacerbates this problem, and addressing it is critical to achieving the performance targets for the TVS 2300. VelocityAP's kit includes an upgraded stage 1 belt tensioner and the option to move to its stage 2 tensioner as the brand continues to add even more power through tuning and upgrades such as billet camshafts.

VEL-JAGAJ1335.02300SCRequiredVelocityAP Harrop TVS2300 Supercharger for Jaguar / Land Rover 5.0 AJ133 V8

The Harrop JLR AJ133 V8 TVS2300 Supercharger, offered by VelocityAP, is a direct replacement for the factory Eaton TVS1900 system on AJ133 supercharged V8 engines from 2013 onwards.
Designed and manufactured by Harrop to OEM standards, the upgrade retains the factory air intake, throttle body, 8PK belt, tensioner and idler pulleys. It integrates the OEM electronic supercharger bypass system and replaces the factory spring coupler with an upgraded solid coupler.
Important Information
No engine recalibration is required when using an 80mm supercharger pulley. Smaller supercharger pulleys require custom engine recalibration and ancillary upgrades. This upgrade is for engines factory fitted with the Eaton TVS1900 supercharger system.
Optional: Symposer Delete
VEL-AJ126133SYMPOSERDELETEOptional add-onVelocityAP Symposer Delete for Jaguar / Land Rover 3.0 AJ126 / 5.0 AJ133

VelocityAP's symposer-delete kit removes the factory symposer that pipes synthetic engine noise into the cabin. Removing the symposer produces a more natural engine sound, which many enthusiasts prefer.
The kit also provides a threaded 1/2" NPT port as a convenient take-off point for a boost reference when installing an auxiliary boost gauge or using advanced tuning options such as water-methanol injection.
Some vehicles, including 2021-on vehicles, are not equipped with a symposer. These vehicles still have a port on the supercharger, so the product can still provide a boost reference, but symposer deletion does not apply.
Optional: Supercharger Belt Tensioner
VEL-JLRSCTENSIONEROptional: choose oneVelocityAP Upgraded Supercharger Belt Tensioner for Jaguar / Land Rover 3.0L and 5.0L Supercharged Engines

VelocityAP's supercharger drive-belt tensioner upgrade is intended for higher-HP applications or for additional peace of mind and maximised OEM performance.
The tensioner assembly and belt routing on JLR 3.0L and 5.0L Supercharged engines do not produce as much belt wrap around the upper pulley as other similar applications. VelocityAP has found evidence, particularly on early cars, of belts rubbing against the tensioner body even on completely original, unmodified vehicles. JLR uses the upper idler pulley to provide clearance from the tensioner body, but this reduces belt contact on the upper supercharger drive pulley.
Through extensive data logging with its proprietary system, VelocityAP has observed evidence of belt slippage in the boost-pressure logs of many cars.
As OEM tensioners wear, they can cause slippage and premature belt failure, particularly on modified applications with higher OEM-supercharger drive rates and high-load applications such as the TVS 2300. A stronger tensioner is required to handle this load.
Not all vehicles conform exactly to published specifications, and many vehicles may have mixed or non-OEM components. VelocityAP recommends verifying that the belt tensioner operates within its designed range. Specifically, the tensioner arm should sit near the midpoint of its sweep when installed with the correct belt length and routing to ensure proper tension and long-term reliability.
This is a required component of TVS 2300 supercharger replacement kits on 5.0 Supercharged applications.
VEL-JLRSCTENSIONER-STG2Optional: choose oneVelocityAP Stage 2 Upgraded Supercharger Belt Tensioner for Jaguar / Land Rover 3.0L and 5.0L Supercharged Engines

This is not a direct replacement part. It requires supporting products and modifications to the OEM tensioner bracket.
As VelocityAP has continued to develop the JLR supercharged engines, extensive data logging and R&D have revealed a weakness in the OEM supercharger belt-drive system. VelocityAP's upgraded tensioner helps combat belt slip, but even this upgraded design can experience some slippage under the harshest conditions involving high heat and load. At the upper limits of performance, every detail counts.
This kit re-engineers the routing of the supercharger belt drive for a much more efficient belt path. The selected tensioner works in the opposite direction to the OEM tensioner and routes the supercharger belt under the upper idler pulley, adding belt contact to the supercharger upper pulley.
VelocityAP's bracket connects to the mechanical vacuum-pump location and alternator mounting locations to provide a secure mounting position for the new tensioner.
Late-model-year vehicles, generally facelift 2021–2022-on, using OEM electric vacuum pumps can fit this kit without adding a vacuum-pump kit. The mechanical pump is present but not connected.
Early-model-year vehicles, generally pre-facelift 2013–2020.5MY, using OEM mechanical vacuum pumps can fit this kit but must also use VelocityAP's mechanical vacuum-pump delete kit.
Installation requires removal of the OEM tensioner bracket and grinding of the mounting face for clearance.
Optional: Vacuum Pump Delete
VEL-JLRSCVACUUMPUMPKITOptional add-onVelocityAP Mechanical Vacuum Pump Delete Kit for Jaguar F-Type 3.0L/5.0L Supercharged

As boost increases and loads through the supercharger drive system rise, more is demanded of the drive belt. JLR's challenging OEM belt routing can cause the belt to contact the tensioner body, and belt failures may occur as customers push power limits. VelocityAP recommends replacing drive belts annually and inspecting them regularly for wear or damage. During track use or hard road driving, shock loading when lifting off the throttle can cause supercharger belt failure, even in unmodified stock applications.
Almost all AJ126 and AJ133 engines use a mechanical vacuum pump to drive the brake booster. This pump is located very close to the crank pulley, and a high-speed belt failure can easily damage the vacuum lines, resulting in a loss of power-assisted braking.
VelocityAP's kit allows the mechanical vacuum pump to be deleted and replaced with an OEM Volvo-sourced electric pump, reducing some of this risk.
This is a recommended component of TVS 2300 supercharger replacement kits on 5.0 Supercharged applications.
Optional: Water Methanol Injection
VEL-JLR5.0METHANOLKITOptional add-onVelocityAP Water Methanol Charge Cooling Injection Kit for Jaguar 3.0 and 5.0 Supercharged Engines

Supercharged engines produce almost instant torque. Drivers who have experienced substantial supercharged power understand the difference, with no wait for spool as found in a turbo application.
One drawback is that managing intake temperatures can become more challenging as boost levels rise. Water-methanol injection is a relatively old technology, but it has proved effective and reliable in supercharged applications for decades. VelocityAP's kit uses two nozzles to inject before the throttle and dramatically reduce charged-air temperatures for maximum performance.
When VelocityAP's carbon intake system is purchased individually or as part of its 2300 TVS supercharger kits, the intake is supplied with pre-bonded bungs for nozzle installation.
Installation requires a custom boost reference or the VelocityAP symposer kit.
Optional: Water Methanol Tank Bracket

These pumps can be used as a standard replacement or as a key component in a comprehensive performance solution.
Optional: Carbon Intake Airbox Section
VEL-JAGUARFPACEINTAKE-OUTEROptional add-onVelocityAP Carbon Fibre Intake Airbox Section for Jaguar F-Pace SVR / F-Pace w/ V8 MAF / XE w/ V8 MAF

Most modern intake systems are difficult to improve upon. With modern CFD and injection-moulded plastics, OEM systems generally have good airflow without significant restriction or compromise. However, enthusiasts often want to hear more induction noise or supercharger whine than the OEM system permits. Rather than constructing an aluminium system that could suffer from heat soak and limit intake volume due to tube sizing, VelocityAP created a full 3D scan of the vehicle and designed a properly partitioned airbox-delete section that retains the OEM cold-air ducting to the filter element.
The design provides the desired supercharger whine without concerns about heat soak or restricting intake volume below the OEM specification. The kit also incorporates a roof to protect the filter element from water ingress draining from bonnet vents.
There are also instances where more volume than OEM may be required to facilitate further performance improvements. For example, the stock intake may be adequate on a 340BHP base vehicle but may not provide sufficient airflow on a more heavily modified V8. This intake is a required modification when fitting VelocityAP's larger 2300 supercharger packages.
VelocityAP's satin-finished carbon-fibre system is designed as a true performance part.
