The 3.0 litre Twin Turbo I6 S55B30T0 engine produces 425 BHP and 410ft/lbs of torque. Although it powers the most advanced M3 platform BMW has ever made, like most modern turbo engines it is capable of substantially more. BMW limited its output to allow for increasingly powerful variants in later model years.

VelocityAP performance software builds on the brand's experience with 4.4L turbo engines, offering seamless integration with improved power and throttle response throughout the RPM range without compromising factory driveability.

Removing the stock catalysts or replacing them with 200-cell sport catalysts allows further improvements in HP and torque.
