Scuderia Autoart Sponsors Matt Close

Scuderia Autoart is excited to announce a partnership with the 2016 Targa Tasmania champion, Matt Close.

Targa Tasmania will be taking place between April 24 to April 29 in Tasmania, Australia and Matt Close will be defending his title as the GT2 champion.

As part of the arrangement with Scuderia Autoart, Matt's car has been fitted with a GT3 RS Akrapovic Evolution Race Line (Titanium) RS S-PO/TI/3/1 exhaust system and will compete in a 35 stage rally.

His participation in this years event has been made possible by Porsche Centre Melbourne, Scuderia Autoart, Akrapovic Exhaust System, KW suspensions, City Performance Centre and Michelin Motorsport. 

“I’ve done 250kms of highway driving in it,” Close said. “I’m on a very steep learning curve when we start next week,” Close added.

Close starting racing in the late 1990’s and this is the 13^th Targa Tasmania that he will be participating in.

Featuring 35 stages, Targa Tasmania gets underway this Monday, 24th April and runs for six days, finishing on the Hobart waterfront at PW1 at lunchtime on Saturday, 29th April.
